Office of the Directorate General, Assam Rifles, Shillong has
advertised a notification for the recruitment of 65 Rifleman (General
Duty) vacancies (under mentioned sports) under sports quota for the year
2017 in Assam Rifles. Eligible candidates (male & female) can apply
in prescribed application format on or before 20-08-2017 &
04-09-2017 for flung areas. Other details like age limit, educational

1. Archery (Both male and female)
2. Boxing (Both male and female)
3. Equestrian (Male)
4. Football (Both male and female)
5. Judo (Both male and female)
6. Karate-DO (Both male and female)
7. Taekwondo (Both male and female)
Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be minimum-18 years and maximum-23 years as on 01-06-2017.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates should possess Matriculation from a recognised Board,
Players who have participated in any International Competition/ National
Competition / Inter-University Tournaments / National Sports / Games
for Schools / Physical Efficiency Drive. (Sports qualification).
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on documentation, Physical Standard Test & Medical Examination.
Application Fee:
Applicants required to pay Rs.100/- through Indian Postal Order drawn in
favour of Recruitment Branch, HQ DGAR, Shillong-793010. No fee payment
for SC/ ST & female candidates.
